Nagarjuna Sagar project still receiving heavy inflows

Mon, Oct 16 : As Srisailam received heavy inflows the officials lifted seven gates earlier, but as of now, the inflow has reduced so the officials' shutdown five gates. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna Sagar is receiving heavy inflows from Krishna upper streams as it has 212 tmc of water against to full capacity of 312 tmc.

As it is receiving 1 lakh 50 thousand cusecs of water, the officials releasing outflow 1600 cusecs. Officials expressed hopeful as dam will be surplus if the situation continues for seven more days. Farmers across the Telugu states expressing happiness as reserviors in both the states are receiving heavy inflows.
