T-Congress in trouble ahead of MLC and LS elections

Hyderabad: Congress party in Telangana, is going through a very rough political patch in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Yellandu Congress MLA Haripriya Naik of Khammam district resigned from the Congress party. She is likely to join the ruling TRS and may contest on TRS B Form.


Last week, Congress MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah also quit the party and announced that he will join TRS soon. Senior Congress MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy also held a meeting with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president KTR and MP Kavitha yesterday. According to reports, Sabitha Reddy might soon be joining the TRS along with her son Karthik Reddy.


With so many Congress loyalist quitting the party and joining the ruling TRS. The strength of legislatures in the house will come down and it may affect on MLC elections. Congress is in for more shocks ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
