Cable bridge will be ready in 2019: MP Vinod Kumar

Karimnagar: Member of Parliament from Karimnagar B Vinod Kumar on Sunday said the much-awaited cable bridge would be ready for the people of Karimnagar town by next year. The MP, along with local MLA Gangula Kamalakar and Mayor S Ravinder Singh, on Sunday examined the ongoing works of the cable bridge being constructed across the river Manair on the outskirts of Bommakal with Rs 183 crore.


On the occasion, he enquired about the progress of works with engineers and contractors besides. The MP said there was no compromise on the quality of work and instructed officials to complete works at the earliest.


Speaking to the media, Vinod said Karimnagar was a sentiment for Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The CM gave his nod without a second thought when proposals were put for the cable bridge.


Karimnagar, especially Manair reservoir area, would be developed into a beautiful destination. Stating that the works were going on at a brisk pace, he said transportation between Karimnagar and Warangal would become easier once the bridge was completed.


Talking about Manoharabad-Kothapalli railway line, Vinod said for the first time in Railways history, works were on a fast-track mode. Very soon, trail run would be conducted up to Gajwel, he said.
