President Kovind to visit Karimnagar today

Elaborate arrangements have been made for President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Karimnagar. The President, who came to Hyderabad for his south sojourn on Friday, will participate in a programme to be held in Prathima hospitals, near Nagunoor village on Saturday. President along with the Governors ESL Narasimhan (Telangana) and Ch Vidyasagar Rao (Maharastra) will arrive at the venue at 11 am. Earlier, besides other programmes, the inauguration of “Centre of Excellence in Sickle Cell, Thalaseemia and other Genetic Blood Disorders in Rural Telangana” was part of the schedule. However, it was cancelled due to various reasons. 

Meanwhile, tight security is in place at the hospital premises. Closed Circuit cameras have been installed in and around the venue. Officials of the Roads and Buildings Department, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and Rural Water Supply were asked to arrange bio-toilet at helipad beside making other arrangements. District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed and Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy are also monitoring the arrangements.
