Kodandaram not to contest the polls and limit himself to the campaign. The Congress has promised him a Deputy Chief Minister posting as chairman of the Telangana Development Council, and importance to the TJS during the Legislative Council elections. TJS representatives said they would discuss these proposals with the leadership.

Speaking to media persons after their meeting with Mr Jana reddy, Mr Dilip Kumar said, “We discussed seat sharing and several other matters. We also submitted a list of 36 candidates. The total number of seats is not yet finalised. Seat adjustments is not a big issue. Some people are saying that the TJS is unhappy and I urge the people not to believe these speculations. Everything will be clear in two to three days.”
