KCR calls For urgent Meeting Today

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will formulate a strategy on Wednesday for implementation of the proposed farmers’ insurance scheme, Kanti Velugu (free eye check-up camps) scheme, and new land registration system which are scheduled to be launched on June 2, marking the State Formation Day celebrations.

He will also review and give suggestions for speedy completion of the distribution of Rythu Bandhu cheques and new pattadar passbooks to ensure that the whole programme is completed before June 2.The Chief Minister will chair an emergency review meeting with Ministers and district Collectors at Pragati Bhavan on Wednesday, to take stock of the progress of distribution of Rythu Bandhu cheques and pattadar passbooks. He will also review arrangements for the State Formation Day celebrations on June 2, besides arrangements for the Panchayat Raj elections which are scheduled to be completed before July 31.

The meeting will discuss details of implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme and also new pattadar passbooks. “We need to discuss and know how many farmers received the passbooks, and how many farmers received cheques. When will the remaining farmers get passbooks and cheques and what are the issues and problems faced by farmers also need to be discussed, besides other related issues,” he said during a review meeting on the status of Rythu Bandhu works at Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday.
