Free Parking Effect In Hyderabad

The GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has successfully implemented the free parking policy recently in order to regulate the parking price.The Telangana government had earlier issued an order to regulate the parking fee charged by commercial establishments in all urban areas of the state, including Hyderabad.
Following numerous complaints from the citizens regarding the overpriced parking fees, during their visits to the malls and multiplexes, the state government issued orders in this regard.
Speaking to the news agency ANI, Additional Commissioner, IT, GHMC, Mohammed Musharraf Ali Faruqui said, “As per the government order, for first 30 minutes there will be no parking fee. Virtually the citizens will have free parking facility if they purchase anything in shopping mall irrespective of the time.”The policy has been put in effect from April 1, 2018, in malls and commercial establishments.
