Authorities raid tobacco unit, Gutka seized

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Special Operations Team raided a tobacco godown at Jawahar Nagar and seized a large quantity of gutka and related raw material. The SOT conducted a raid on Sri Sai Merchant Kirana shop, run by one G. Rakesh, 27, at Yapral village.
The owner of the shop had procured the banned material from Karnataka and sold it at his shop. Police seized some 2,500 pouches tobacco and 300 pouches of gutka, all worth more than Rs 30,000 from the shop. The owner Rakesh and with the seized material were handed over to Jawahar Nagar police for further investigation.
